Not sure that I can go with this as a favorite, but it is defnitely a top ten, maybe a top five.. Proverbs 10:19.. "In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.".. For you young cats, that's new king james (shut up Jered), so you might wanna check your translations for another look at it..
my bible verse is 2Corinthians 12:9 Each time HE said,"my grace is all you need. my power works best in Weakness, so that the power of christ can work through me."
i absolutly love it!!!!!!because it tells that even in my weakness God is there.
So I think its pretty much impossible to pick one verse to be my favorite but these are some of them..
2 Timonthy 2:20-21
20 In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. 21 If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.
If we keep ourselves pure... not just physically like we are not going to have sex but that we keep out minds pure we will be able to be used by God not just for a few good works but for EVERY good work. So just think about it.. Do you want to be a utensil made of clay (plastic ware) that gets used with no thought and just thrown out or do you want to be that golden utensil () that is only for that special occassion and is treated with respect and honor.
Exodus 14:13-14
13 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”
I never thought that anything good could come out of Exodus I know that this is totally wrong because its the bible EVERYTHINGS GOOD...... but thats what I thought Im not going to lie. these verses are so stinking amazing they say that you know no matter what we are going through or who is coming against us (Egystians) our Father will save us and we dont have to do anything but sit and be calm..
